Tray Styling 4 Ways
So over the weekend I decided I was going to spray paint a tray I have had laying around that I really didn't use because it was an orange color and didn't go with anything in my house. I kept intending to spray paint it gold but would forget about it or just didn't have the time. Yesterday was finally the day I sprayed it and I love how it turned out! It's amazing how much nicer something can look with a couple coats of gold spray paint!! So to show off my "new" tray, I thought I would share 4 different ways to style it! This might even inspire you to makeover an old piece in your home that has potential or even refresh a tray you already had!
1. Serving Tray
Since this tray really isn't that large enough for serving, I thought it would be cute to style it as a simple wine tray. I used 2 stemless glasses, some cocktail napkins, and added some corks for extra dimensions and texture. This style can be used in your kitchen by the wine bar, or on your island during a party!
2. A Simple Centerpiece
Adding a little vase of roses to the tray adds a simple elegance that would be beautiful as a centerpiece on your kitchen table, coffee table, or even a console table. Sometimes less really is more!
3. Entryway Catchall
Adding a tray in your entryway is a great way to keep track of your keys, mail, iPod or whatever else you toss to the side when you get home at the end of the day. A tray keeps your clutter in check while adding style to your entryway. It's a win-win!
4. Guest Bathroom Essentials
If you are having guests over for a long weekend, having a tray with essentials like washcloths, soaps, and lotions is essential to being a great host. Ensuring your guests have everything they need is the first rule of hosting and this tray is the perfect size to sit atop a vanity.
So I know I said I was only going to list 4 ideas but I wanted to share more! Other areas to use a tray like this would be in your office to store important documents that need your attention during the week, atop a dresser to hold your perfumes/lotions, outside on a table to hold different potted plants, on a bar cart, I mean, the possibilities are endless really!
