Small Space Decorating: Our Tropical Balcony
Summer is fast approaching and one of the best parts of summer is having a space to retreat to. If you saw one of my original posts about our home reno, you would've seen our old wooden balcony that looked and felt like a death sentence if you stood on it. lol If you need a reminder, you can see that post here. Anyways, so we tore the old balcony down and put up a new wood composite balcony in it's place. (Which by the way, if wood composite is in your budget I highly recommend it. It looks amazing and the fact that you don't have to do much to maintain it is well worth the money!) So this year, I wanted to make this a space that Brian and I enjoy, a place where we can have coffee in the morning and relax or enjoy the view after work. Below are some pictures of how I styled the space.
Since there isn't a ton of space up here I added a small bistro set and lots of flowers/plants to make it feel tropical and add some pops of color. I also like to add quirky little pieces like the frog, mushroom, and watermelon pillows to keep the space fun and playful. I am really happy with how our balcony turned out and I can see many nights up there with some wine, my hubby, and the stars above us! Thanks for checking out my post! Hope everyone has a great week and stay tuned for another post coming soon featuring our patio reveal!
