Toddler Boy Christmas Bedroom
Even before I was ever pregnant with my son, I always knew how special the holidays would be once we had a child. But now that he is here and going to be 2 this month, the holidays are even better than I ever imagined! The magic of Christmas is alive and I love seeing it through his eyes! To make the season extra special, I knew I had to make his room extra festive. Seeing his eyes light up when I turn on the tree is exactly why I do what I do! For his room I chose a color palette of red, dark and lime green, navy, and teal. It feels so cheerful in his room and it’s perfect for our little boy! All of the details were meticulously planned and I truly love being in his room at night as I rock him by the glow of the tree. There’s nothing better! I hope you’ll love his room as much as I do!
The Tree
For his tree I wanted to reuse as much as I could from the last 2 years. (You can see the original tree on this post here.) I only had to add a few bulbs in green and red as well as a couple fun large ornaments that represent him this year. He likes robots, cats, and trains so I made sure to add those to his tree! He loves to look at the tree and point out the “choo choo” and meow at the cat lol! All his ornaments were purchased at Target or Hobby Lobby.
For the present above his crib, I actually just wrapped his Peter Rabbit canvas in wrapping paper and ribbon and added a bow. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a new picture so I just used what I had laying around! Cheap and easy DIY that looks so cute!
Bookshelves
For his bookshelves, I put up all his Christmas or winter themed books and added some felt garland and fun little accents on the shelves. He loves to pick out a couple Christmas books each morning and we read them in bed before we head down for breakfast. It’s one of my favorite parts of our day!
Crib Bedding
The flannel crib bedding is so cozy and I chose this Nordic pattern because it feels more wintery and less Christmas-y which is nice because then I can use it into the later winter months!
Details
One of my favorite details I added is the Santa calendar. I know he will have fun moving the little candy cane each day as we get closer to Christmas! Other fun details include a Christmas dinosaur, felt lightbulb garland and snowflakes on the windows, a Santa pillow, The Grinch wall art, reindeer ears and Santa hats on the animals (the hat on the bear picture is actually one I made out of foam pieces! I just taped it on the picture.) , and the prettiest bulb wreath on his door! This room is so much fun and t makes me smile every time I walk in there! It reminds me of his personality and how he makes me smile all the time and that to me is what the magic of Christmas is all about!
