Galentine's Tea Party
If you’ve been following along with my blog for a while now, you’ll know that for the past 4 years I have hosted a yearly Galentine’s Day party with some of my closest girlfriends. This years theme was a tea party and it turned out so cute and was so much fun that I’m convinced I need to host more tea parties! I wanted to share all the details so you too can host your own tea party!
The Decor
The tea party theme was so much fun and what better statement than the “Spill The Tea” balloons?! I think they really set the tone for the party and are a fun play on words. I wanted to keep the decor ethereal and super feminine and the Ladurée x Meri Meri plates and napkins were perfectly pastel and the inspiration behind the color palette. Gold accents added a feeling of luxe and the peach chiffon runner added a softness that complimented the pastel teacups.
Tea Is Served
For the tea I had a bunch of different types for my guests to choose from like matcha, green tea, turmeric, and black tea. Pink and white rose shaped sugar cubes and fresh cut lemons were placed on the table as well as teapot shaped caddys to place used teabags on. For party favors, I gifted my girlfriends tea and a heart shaped tea strainer in an adorable teapot shaped box!
Food + Drink
I wanted to make hosting as easy as possible for myself so I chose to make this a late afternoon tea party and I served small desserts to munch on with our tea and champagne. I had lots of macarons, royal icing sugar cookies, a small cake, biscotti, mini croissants, apple turnovers, cheesecake cupcakes, and an assortment of other tea cookies and wafers. For a whimsical feel, I added edible butterflies; although edible, they are really only for decoration and don’t taste like much. In addition to tea, I had my usual champagne bar cart stocked with juice to mix and Teaspressa sugar cubes to add an orange, lemon, or grapefruit taste.
Tiny Tea Party
Since a few of us are moms to little girls now, I knew this year I wanted to include the next generation of Galentine’s in a special way. So I put together a mini tea party table for the 4 little girls ranging in ages 2.5 to 1 year old so they would have a space to play and enjoy the party alongside their moms. For a fun party favor for them, they all got matching pearl necklaces and bracelets. The mini tea party was a big hit and honestly so adorable! 10/10 recommend!
